There was a pirate fencing mod called Yarrcry! planned for Farcry, but it was cancelled i think. Farcry would be a good engine for a pirate game.

Now my hopes lay on [shameless]Mistmod for HL2[/shameless], but it ain't gonna happen soon. Modding todays games is so damn time consuming! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

I liked the slapstic ones, like Naboo, but Geonosis was one of the best, I agree. Coruscant was good as well, though.

I still want fencing like Bushido Blade.
One of the darn few console games that deserve the name "simulation", and the only fighter I've ever appreciated.[fn1]
DBTS (per thread in Alt Games) was kinda gimmicky IMO, but that's the closest (SFAIK) the PC has ever gotten.

[fn1] Not strictly true; there's also ye olde OMF 2097; it and Tyrian will never be off my hard drive...long live the old Epic!
