Assessment of the HMS Surprise in POTC

Hey guys. I just got done playing around with the HMS Surprise and find that while it is an awsome addition to the game, there are some things that just dont look right to me. Mainly, all my guys walk high up in the air at the stern. If there is any way to correct this, it would help the ship out alot. Either that or disable the men for that particular ship. Another thing is that the stern of the ship seems a bit flat. I remember stern windows that rounded out the stern of the vessel. If I am mistaken, let me know. These are just my assesments. BTW, I got the ship by boarding the French craft in Oxbay.

Peace,

Archibald McNeil

A little history of the HMS Surprise

She was constructed in Le Havre as L'Unité in 1794: a 24 gun corvette, armed with 8lb long guns. She was captured in the Mediterranean (April 1796, from Bona, modern day Annaba in Algeria, a neutral) by the British frigate Inconstant and taken in as Surprise (there was already a L'Unité). Her lines were taken off and she was re-armed and classed as a 28 gun ship. The Surprise actually carried 24 32lb carronades on her main deck, 8 32lb carronades on her quarter deck and 4 6lb long guns on her foredeck. It was difficult to rate her and she was regarded as a fifth rate till 1798 and then re-classed as a sixth rate.
