ok, 1st: i use the sail to command, so my ship(s) is/are there...the only thing i can think of is, if my goods aren't in my ship, but one of my captain's, then the smugglers won't be there<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--></b>
That makes sense, I'll try to recreate that in my game and see what happens. You're right, I thought you were walking to the smuggler's rendezvous as opposed to using the "sail to" feature.
Let me know if you are playing the game with the Build or the mods or not. The original game is a little less forgiving in that it will sometimes give you misinformation, and then screw up your reputation and leave you wondering just exactly why.
I am playing with Build 11, and like I said I would do in my last post, I set up a smuggler rendezvous and walked to Palm Beach and when I got there I found the smugglers, but they said I needed my ship to effect the transaction. I then tried skipping the first smuggling job and went to Oxbay and set up another one; I completed this transaction.
Doing this effectively cancelled my first rendezvous because when I went back to Palm Beach there were no smugglers present, and when I went to the tavern on Douwesan, the smuggler let me set up a completely new rendezvous which went fine when I did "sail to" to Palm Beach.
Which ship sank when you ran the blockade at Oxbay, the trader ship you were escorting? This is just another theory, but maybe that is what is causing the problem with the smugglers. Is the escort mission still in your quest book?
I have to hand it to you mooo, you come up with some of the best questions that I have seen around here. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_praise.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

I hope we can help you get things back on tack, but I haven't had to deal with the situations you're bringing up.
Let us know:
1. Whether you are playing the original game without modifications, or a modded game, and what mod(s) or Build you are using.
2. What unfinished quests you have in your quest book.
3. What island is giving you trouble with the smuggling.
This way if your game set up is compatible with someone who is viewing the site, they may know exactly what you need to do to remedy the situation that is currently giving you trouble. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
