Assuming it's possible, would there be a demand for better (Higher-poly) crew models in sailing mode? I know performance is a big issue, but if we only updated the highest LOD version you'd only use the new crew on your ship so the impact would be minimal. Perfect, as from a distance they look fine.
I'd be volunteering for this if it's wanted (I'm more used to modeling characters than ships anyway) so this isn't just a call-out. I'd propose doubling them, but even if this is deemed excessive much could be achieved with just a small increase. The main change I'd like to see is an improved silhouette (adding noses would be a priority). Obviously a poly-count comparable with the officer models is the dream, but performance comes first (maybe someday <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ).
Discuss, dissect and possibly discard. Come wearing your opinions on your voluminous sleeves.
