I've had this board game for thirty years.
Anyone else with a pirate-themed board game?

If I understand there were two versions for this board game.
One is just a map, the other one is this impressive thing:

I've never seen that! All I saw was the basic version with the map. It didn't have the fancy paper decorations, golden navigation wheel or metallic coins seen in some of the pictures in the boardgamegeek article.

It's possible that all those props, and the 3D play area in that picture, were built by players rather than included in a more elaborate version of the game. I've certainly seen that done for some other games. There was a game about Roman chariot racing called "Circus Maximus", the arena included in the game was just a cardboard map, but someone built a big model of it for a games convention. A fantasy football game called "Blood Bowl" got the same treatment some years later.

Strange but I've had it too for exact 30 years.

Also Rattle, Battle grab the Loot and Francis Drake.
