Bug in Woodes Rogers Storyline

Ahoy to You All!

I'm playing Beyond New Horizons - Woodes Rogers Storyline - Section: Woodes Rogers Part 2 - 05 Caesar.

When I am in Grand Turk, on the roofs above the Tavern, I can defeat the opponents there, but, finally, William Dampier doesn't appear: I jump onto the last rooftop, the game saves automatically (Quick Save), the voice of Dampier can be heard, but his figure doesn't show up (or he remains totally invisible and inactive).
In this way, I can't defeat him in combat, I can't loot him and, consequently, I can't go on with the quest.

Could anyone help me with this bug, please?

Hi,
I have played this through to the end on Beta 6 and Dampier was there to fight and loot- are you playing the nightly version or Beta 6?
Do you have a save game just prior to the roof walk?
Have you check the error.log file (using notepad or similar)?
System.log and compile.log also may be of help if there is a glitch in the code - These files at in the same folder as the engine.exe file.

To upload the save file, you will need to zip it and attach the zip file to your reply and I will try to replicate the issue.

I'm playing Version 15.0.0 Beta 6.
I've checked the error.log file, and there is indeed an entry:

[2026-02-04 15:10:04.646] [error] [error] RUNTIME ERROR in <no debug information>(1): Invalid range

This happens everytime I launch the game. Could it be a generic graphic error?

Ok I have tested this part via jump start 56 and 57 in StartStoryline. Both works.

Dampier is placed in his roof spot when you make the town gate explode (returning from the fort). He's placed at the same time as 4 other enemies.
There should be a total of 6 enemies on the roofs except Dampier. Did you meet all 6 or are some of the others missing too?

@Binoto I read your starting post again - this is Beyond New Horizons! - sorry I can't help you at all there

I have found a workaround to the problem: William Dampier didn't show up there, but I was able to bypass the fight and go on with the quest, diving into the sea, swimming to the cove and opening the hatch at the bottom of It. Hence, the issue for me is solved, although the figure of Dampier continued to remain invisible.

You will need to make sure that you get the Items from Dampier so that you have all six pistols, pistol belt, ammo bag and some bullets and powder. If you don't have these you can get them by modifying the Console.c file to give them to your character. You should have 2 rapiers and 2 sabers as well.
