Bug.

Its been ages since ive played ths game, years ago i used to play it with the Build 11 Mod. Just recently i installed it again and put on the Build 13 Mod, which is a big improvement. i had one officer with me when i went to visit tht pirate town, Nigel Blyth approached me, and then suddenly my characters cowarded in fear (like those citizens who arnt armed aka tavern owner) he was completely out of my control and then my officer began attacking me with his sword. Luckily i had saved tht game at port, and tryed entering th town again only without the officer, and everything worked fine. i was just thinking tht if i HADNT saved th game and captured lets say a Manowar on my way to town only to hav th game stuff up. i would be pretty bumed out. its not a big bug, but could be very annoying. maybe someone should try come up with a solution or sumthin?

ps- th bodies aways get in th way unless u rob thm, is there a way 2 make them dissappear tweaking th files or something?

That's a really weird bug. I also had officers attacking me at random. At one point I even had two officers fighting each other. Why this happened, I have no idea. As far as I know, it's completely random and not a very common occurance. Although Build 13 is a great mod, don't expect it to be bugless. That is why we recommend everyone who uses it to save often. As good as it might be, some weird things will happen. Unfortunately we have hardly any modders left and the ones we do have are working on the Build 14 Alpha version. One thing you might want to do, if you haven't done so already: Get Build 13 Update 3 and install that, then start a new game. That fixes some bugs and improves certain aspects of the game as well.

In BuildSettings.h you can change the CORPSEMODE option. By default it is on CORPSEMODE 2: You have lootable corpses that do obstruct walking until they're looted. You can change this to CORPSEMODE 1: Corpses that don't obstruct walking. However, these are not lootable, but you can set AUTOLOOT_ON to 1, in which case you automatically get the blade, gun and gold of any character you killed, even if CORPSEMODE is 1. In Build 14 Alpha 6 corpses are still lootable, but they no longer obstruct walking, so this is much better than in Build 13. However, putting this functionality into Build 13 is a lot of work and we don't have the (wo)manpower to do it.

i've seen an entire squadron of french soldiers sluaghter each other once. they had tried to attack a single thief, hitting each other by accident in stead, and deciding that it would be more fun if they'd kill each other.
