build 11 questions

i just installed build 11 and in the readme it says to delete the saved games. do i have to do this? will i loose my character? also i dowloaded an update. it came in zip form. do i just leave it in the "updates" folder or do i have to move things around? the readme with that only said what it changed

In Build 11 you can continue the game by pressing the "I" button if you have the Build 10v1,if you don't have the build 10v1,you will have to delete your saved games and start all over <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" />

In Updates, you will need to do the things written in the readme file <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

the update i got only comes with a text file called b11update. it doesn't say what to do with the files

what about newer versions? do you have to delete saves?
