Hey there guys. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> I had to reinit the game and it said upgraded from build 12 to build 12.1. After that is crashes on all loading screens...but the good news is that other problems I had are fixed <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />


UPDATE: Ok it does a CTD on the "port" load screen or the "go to sea" load screen. I didn't download anything for build 12.1. Could this be the problem? Also if there is a download for 12.1 where is it located?

I searched and searched until ----> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> and decided that there was nothing there.
 
Just reinstall the game and redownload the build 12 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />
 
Aye Muddy,grab build 12 and click on updates,an it will update to Build 12.1 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
Did all that. <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.net/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_download/gid,22/Itemid,46/" target="_blank">This </a>is the installer. You may already have it. If you don't, it's at that link. Download it and/or open it and it will connect to install B12.1 - the entire download of B12.1 is the only thing you need, the updates are already in there. You won't need to click on the update as there's nothing there for you to get if you get the full install (it's been updated, the updates are for those who downloaded B12 previously and did not get the updates).

A clue as to whether you need the updates is if you run the installer and there is a "0" next to the updates line - means you already have the most `up-to`-date files. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

After you've downloaded and installed B12.1 on your computer, you MUST start a new game. Also, you should be sure to go into Settings/Controls from the F1 menu and reset your keyboard mappings to default. You can `re-map` them later if you need to.

Go into the game and if you still get the same problem, post your compile & error logfiles here... OR if you can use the PotC ModHelper to duplicate your problem, it will also run an error report.

Hopefully that'll work it all out. I'm not the most knowledgeable person <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> about these bugfixes, but you shouldn't be getting the CTD's after that. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
Well it came down to removing and reloading the game.... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ib012.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cry" border="0" alt="ib012.gif" /> my character from day one is now dead <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> sad day for me. now I have to start all over again. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Aye Muddy,done that a few times meselfe,always a good idear te make a back up copy,I put alot O' me stuf on a USB flash since me hard drive packed it in <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
