Build 12 Problem, cant talk to store keeper!!

Hi Guys, sorry if this questions already been answered.
I just installed build 12 and i cant talk to the store keeper in oxbay. Neither can i talk to stall owners or anyone on the street
PLease tell me what to do

Did you start a new game after installing Build 12 or did you load an old one? If you used an old one, you have to `re-initialize` the game by pressing "I". Another possibility would be that you modified your key settings. I´d suggest you set them to default, start a new game and see if it works then. If so, you can change the keys again to your liking, if not, I´m afraid I´m out of my wits.

It was a new game
I tried resetting the controls but that hasnt changed anything, still cant talk to people! Thanks anyway tho
If anyone else has any suggestions i would be grateful

I have nearly the same problem. I can't talk to stall owners, but can talk to the shop owner. This is a fresh Build 12 installed over a fresh PoTC install (did that to try to get rid of the damn engine CTD).

I was trying to play even without being able to talk to these guys, but came to a dead stop when I ran into the French guy in the Redmond (or whatever its called) Governor's house. Hey...everything seems all `groovy-like` now, after I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it a couple times. Maybe it was just something with my connection or whatever while I was DLing certain Build files. *shrug*

Doesnt matter....Like I said...everything works, can talk to everyone I see, no crashes, and I ran into the Black Pearl for the first time (only had the game 2 days <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> ). I did exactly 10% sail damage before I booked it outa there (after....however many full broadsides from my MoW <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> ).

Nice stuff you guys've done with this game!
