The new face seems a bit darker. Old on the left, new on the right:

Looking at the texture files, the new face does look darker, both in comparison to the original face and in comparison to his hands. It's your texture so if you're happy with it then it can stay like that and I've already copied it into my update file.

Meanwhile, I'm redoing my Ardent character to make him look more different from "Corsair1_4". Once that's finished, I'll upload the update.

Included in this one:
. The "Hoist the Colours" storyline has been merged with the Build 15 version, resulting in a version with all the latest DMC content from @Sebrian in Build 15 and all the debugging work by @AkrimalS in Build 14.
. There's a new type of ship, a barquentine - a small three-master with a hull similar to a barque longue but with more of a fore-and-aft rig for better cross-wind performance.
. For the dungeon delvers among you, @Hammie and @Peter Norton have made things a bit easier. When you're in a dungeon, if you press 'M', instead of the archipelago map you'll see the map of the dungeon - but only if you actually have the map of this dungeon in your inventory. (If you'd prefer to see the archipelago map, there's an entry in "InternalSettings.h" which can disable this feature.)
. Talking of dungeon maps, @Peter Norton has drawn one for the Maltese Crypt. It's not for sale, though. You'll have to find another way to get it... (Hint - talk to the right person and let him tell his story in full.)
. @Jack Rackham has improved both the New Cloister in Cartagena and the face of Michiel de Ruyter.
. For some time, @Purpure Longstride has been displaying her artwork in the thread My Pirate Art Repository - if you haven't already seen it, go and look at it now! Because some of it has now been adapted into the game. Purpure's own character model has been included for a while and now some of her friends have joined her. She even has a couple of dedicated sidequests, "Escape from Charlestown" and "The Duel".

Probably if you're playing "Hoist the Colours". Certainly if you want to go into the Maltese Crypt because the new map won't exist in your existing game. You might get away with pressing F11, which re-initialises some things.

F11 indeed reinitializes the entire item array, so that should work.
 
Ahoy,

I am playing the July update and have encountered a first time issue. The feature that re-supplies the character and officers with personal ammunition when go to your ship is not working. I wonder if there is setting or option that tripped by mistake some or all the officers need to have guns, not just the ones that accompany the characte.
 
Do you have a gunner? He's the one who provides free ammo. He doesn't need to be in your shore party. But if you have no gunner at all, you won't get free ammo.
 
Here are some upgrades for WR and GB. It's three off pist situations that now have walk paths.
Two are in WR, Kristiania: Nueva Suecia upper town. The single stair (from doubleflour house) is used many times in both WR and GB.

It's a minor bugfix as carrying a (blade)flag together with I think a (pistol)blade didn't go well at all.
That shiny metal look.
 
What is "LOOK_ITEM_TYPE"? As far as I can see, it's not defined anywhere and the lines in "items.c" which check it cause the game to crash when I go into the inventory.
 
It should be defined in items.h line 26.

What happened was some future items checked in into initItems.c a little early. But here's the items.h

Thanks! No, the version of "items.h" which I had before did not include "LOOK_ITEM_TYPE", and your "WR GB fixes upload 25-10-30" did not include the new version. So when I tried to open the inventory, the game hung. Now I just need to check that weapons which are supposed to be shiny are still shiny...
