Build 14

Ahoy,

I just upgraded from Build 13 to Build 14 and so far I see some really nice new features. However, it was a very disturbing search on the empty deck when I skipped the tutorial (because I have played POTC in different versions since build 9). Luckily I found this thread.

It would be much easier to leave the deck in the intended way if the ship wasn't on the open sea, but in a port with the side facing the port, where you have to go to ... is that somehow possible?

Cheers,
Sulan

why would that be easier? you can just use fast travel, you know. besides, the location where you have to leave the ship isn't that hard to find, even if you don't know where it is. it does look a bit odd that you only see the sea though.

it is possible, but then the ship's deck would have to become a seperate location. now, the boarding deck is used as the ship's deck. if the port would be added, you would always have a port next to you when boarding. if the regular ship's deck would be made a seperate location from the boarding deck, it could be done. besides, i always thought all the damage seemed a bit odd on a seaworthy ship. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

That is the problem: Fast travel does not work in a new game the first time on deck (at least it did not for my Build 14A6). Also going back to the cabin was not possible - so one is stuck on deck unless one is lucky enough to find the spot where to leave the deck.

Anyway it was only a suggestions how to improve this startup-sequence.

By the way: The ship is damaged by the storm - so it is not 100% seaworthy ... however, the damage caused by storms usually looks a bit different <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

i usually take care to keep me ship in ship-shape thank you very much! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> i ain't such a sloppy cap! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> my head-scarf sure came in handy, as you might have read in one of those books about me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> (seriously, buy them. some of them boost your skills, and they're always a good laugh. some of them give penalties though)

So, I've managed to install Build 14.6 (with special thanks to <b>Mr_Cyberpunk</b> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ), and I see there's still this "bug" involving crew of the sinking ship.

Basically, after I board enemy ship, even when I take every single crewman into my crew, there are still some floating people left when it sinks. Stowaways, maybe? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

do you consider this a Bug? Whow that means that there are really few problem in Build 14.6.
however if you like you can consider floating people as enemy's prisoners escape from the hold before the enemy ship is sinking:rolleyes:

I LOVE THIS GAME, ONE MORE TIME THAK YOU MODDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
