Build mod 13 spawning Black Pearl

HI, can anyone preferably a modder tell me how to spawn Black Pearl or ships of the line?

I hit F12 in the game, and it says executed console, but the console never showed up.

Please upload your version of "PROGRAM\console.c". It probably needs a couple of lines to be changed to enable the section for the Black Pearl.

In that case the file should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Pirates of the Caribbean\PROGRAM". Or find the game's sub-folder within "Program Files (x86)", then look for sub-folder "PROGRAM" in that.

Putting the game into "Program Files (x86)" is not good. Windows security can do silly things there. You would be better to reinstall it somewhere else - for example, my installation is in "C:\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean".

At the moment, it's probably doing nothing because "console.c" is not set to do anything. That is why I need you to upload the file - so I can see what needs to be changed or added to give you the Black Pearl.

Putting the game in "Program Files (x86)" might also prevent "console.c" from being altered and it will almost certainly cause other problems in the game. Windows does not trust users like you or me with system folders such as "Program Files (x86)" and limits what we can do to them.

Can you tell me how to install the PoTC music pack from ModDB for build 13?

I fixed the black pearl thing by using InternalSettings.h edits.

I don't know. Build 13 has been out of date for many a year. What sort of file is the music pack - .exe, .zip, .rar, something else? Are there no instructions on the ModDB page where you found the music pack? Or is there a text file somewhere in the download?

If the music patch is a .exe, put it in the game installation folder and run it. Of course, Windows security might prevent it from working properly as you've put the game into "Program Files (x86)".

Any ship which isn't in "Ships_init.c" isn't hidden, it doesn't exist at all in the game. "Ships_init.c" is the very definition of all ships in the game. I don't know whether the sidequest "Elizabeth Shaw's Disappearance" is in Build 13; probably not, and if it isn't, the Flying Dutchman probably isn't in there either. Endeavour probably doesn't exist either, it was added in Build 14 so that you can play as Cutler Beckett. Build 13 doesn't have different storylines or FreePlay as Build 14 does, and Cutler Beckett isn't in the game.

I can't help with crashes in Build 13 as it's long out of date and even I don't support it any more, even though I'm one of the few who hasn't moved from Build 14 to Build 15. But one possible cause of crashes is that you've installed it in "Program Files (x86)".
