A ship with a prop and a steam pipe in Pirates of the Caribbean? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Making ships is not easy. And once you made them, getting them ingame isn't easy either. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

The model ship (large picture) with the prop is the Amerigo Vespucci, the pride of the Italian navy. She was built in 1931, overall length 330', Beam 50' 9", Draft 23' 6", Hull is steel, Home port is La Spezia, Italy. Not sure about crew size but close to 1000 men I would think. She carries no cannon and is primarily used to train junior officers of the Italian navy. When you look at her, she does remind you of the men-of-war from two centuries ago doesn't she.

Yea it does remind me of the MOW's, 1000 men, 100 Cannons, plenty of cargo space....... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

yeah... and the things you could do with them!
use the ones with large cargo capacities as supply ships to carry your food, ammo, sailcloth and wood, while the faster tougher lighter crewed ones serve as powerful, quick and deadly warships <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
my records in an MOW:
********************************************************
my record speed in the MOW i appropriately name HMS Victory was 14.30! i'm 100% sure of this stat.
i forget the number of zeros that followed but i think my record was 7000-8000 HP [not sure of the numbers. i havent played in a while]. also the Victory!
i remember that my record lowest crew number was 750! and i'm 100% sure of this stat. also on the Victory, the same ship that had the previous 2 stats!
********************************************************
i miss this game. i just hope that AoP comes out soon.
the top texture looks like Chocolate bill's Surprise with a different colour scheme, and it is something i wish i had on one of my shelves. the second is obviously from the early to mid 20th Century. that in my oppinion is where the beauty of the sailing ship has started to disappear. it doesn't look anywhere near as beautiful as the true sailing ships 2-3 centuries earlier.
