Cannon smoke and fog

First off, I have to say that the build mod in fantastic. I've just intalled it and I love all the changes that were made. It's a whole new game now. Anyway,... this could just be my imagination, but I remember the cannon smoke from ships was different before (the clouds of smoke were a lot smaller, if i recall). If this is the case, does anyone know if it's possible to revert it back to how it was? I found the old smoke to be a bit more cinematic. Just a preference thing, I guess.
Also, during sea battles fog cuts right in, or out. Is this a feature of the mod? I find it very dissorienting. I don't mean to nitpick. The mod is truly incredible work.

The mist suddenly showing up is a feature, yes. It's meant to represent weather and time changing over time. Unfortunately, nobody so far has figured out how to make the transition go smooth, so this is the best that can be done.

i hope its possible, im sick of being blinded for a minute because of this gunpowder cloud, i was forced to boosting the speed in sailing to 7.5 in buildsettings! to be able to clear my view in manual fire just to be able to see where im aiming!, and now my MOW goes 70.00 knots!
