How many cannons can a ship have,are the cannons that i can sell to the merchants extras,becasue if i sell them all will there be cannons in the ship

Have a look at the pirateopaedia ( F8 ) .
If you sell all cannons there shouldn't be any on board.

As Tipa says above look at the `in-game` `Pirate-O`-Pedia and all ships, as well as alot of other things, are listed alphabetically. In addition, your manual will have a section on ships.

When selling to a merchant, if your cargo tons reach ZERO then you have none left, does not matter if its food or cannons. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> So you will always want to keep at least the minimum number of cannons for your preferred ship type.

There is nothing in your game manual about ships? I cannot believe they would not include that, ships ARE the base for the game.
