Can't save game...

So heres the latests problem with my game:

I try to save my game but it won't save. I click the save button after highlighting the save slot I want to save to and it doesn't do it. It closes down the save screen, but it doesn't save my game so when I go back to load it, it doesn't have a save game to load.

Maybe I am just being dumb and not following proper protocal, but I dont think so.
I have the US version and all my system reqs are up to speed.
Help please!!
 
Are you using any additional modpacks? If you are using Build 12 or higher, did you get a holy cross sort of thing from a weird monk? If so, that will make sure you can't save.
 
Nope, no modding. Just started playing. And it sucks to play that tutorial over and over to try to save it <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
