Installed and i was happy to see the pirates with a Tartan, the pirate ship turned tail and tried to out run me. He dumped his cargo which i collected and then i sunk the Tartan for making me chase him. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

<b>Map pirates are only small group 1 or 2 ships, luggers schooners etc.</b>
And where's the fun your man-o-war to be sunked by 5x class 7 ships <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I love this, they are so fast, always behind u and first break your sails.

Can u tell me where to change the maximum game speed ?

Use chain shots on them, one broadside should wipe the masts of one ship perhaps damage another if they are close to one another. Turn and broadside another, or if your like me and don't want to loot those ships simply change to bombs and sink each and everyone of them. one broadside each should do the trick.

I wouldn't use a MOW as my main ship, after i captured a MOW i would put it in berth at a friendly port and use a Coprvette or some similar ship thats fast and quick at surning around but has enough fire power to fend off any pirate/captain who dares to attack me.

Pinned to make it easy to find.

Doubly-pinned even. You don't think the two threads should be merged or something?

I was thinking about doing exactly that, and set a pointer from here to the posting in the modding forum do you think?

Do you need two stickies? Otherwise I'd suggest unstickying this one and let it disappear to the dark depths of forgetfulness and keep the original. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
Oh... and move all important posts from here to the other thread. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

You mean increase the game speed to 8X?

turn num lock off and use the "+" to increase and "-" to decrease the game speed, durring battles you can only increase to 6X, if you press "R" when 8X speed in set you will go straight to default speed of 1X much easier than using the "-" key to decrease the speed. if walking on your ship deck with 6 or 8X speed increase set you will find more so if 8X you can't walk up the stairs its only happened a few times to me in 6X but happens all the time in 8X.
