Captive bug?

For a while I spent most of my time targeting spanish convoys. During this time I captured loads of spanish captains. Problem is, if I go to a spanish port there is no release option. I can however still release english french and pirate captives from their respective ports. Anyone know why this could be? Is is another bug?

Yes, it seems so.

try to release them in other port french maby i think you'll still get the mony
but somtimes i cant release captives in the town but i can release when i'm on my ship near the port or i can only release in the tavern and somtimes anywere in the colony

Yep, that worked!

I was able to release them at the pirate island (cannot remember what it is called).

Now to capture the rest of the Spanish colonies!!!
