Have any of you have seen the "Tom vs Bruce" article in this month's Computer Gaming World?

It's a very funny read. I was laughing so hard last night, I had tears in my eyes.

The reason I ask is.. they are not playing SMP... but LOTR:BfME

I think that was last month's or at least the issue I got two back. The current one I believe is the one with the "Game of the Year" award on the front cover and an Orc from WoW. I got it in the mail like 3 days ago or so.

When I get home, I'll double check on the date and post a paragraph from the article just so some can get an idea of the flavor of how it's written.

They write it like they live it.

Besides how could the two of them play Pirates? Its a single player game?

I looked at it last night and it's actually the March issue. I think it's ridiculous they send them out so early, but it is what it is.

You are correct of course about it being a single player game. They don't play head to head. I haven't actually read in one sitting the whole article yet, and it's hard to understand what they did because reading it, it appears that only one guy's voyages was published.

If I remember correctly, they played a game starting at the same time period and skill level and just went for the highest score.

btw, the "Woot" emote above is not an "I'm right and you're wrong." emote. I just thought the picture fit with the alternate reality comment.

Lyfy.. Sorry, believe it or not I just got mine today in the mail. Very odd, since I just got Feb's 2 weeks ago. At any rate, you are correct, and I was indeed in la la land... (again) Gotta cut back on the milk.

They did indeed play for high score, both starting at 1660 on Swashbuckler. I always root for Bruce because Tom is sooo much a ******** (edited out the political name calling here out of respect for other forum readers who might also be ********)


Use any emote you like. I do not get offended by posts. I am pleased that more people do not get (openly) offended by mine.
