Hey guys
thanks for the help windwolf7 - I am at a bit of a standstill though. I'm not using the Beatrice, or Blaze models, so the game seems to assign me a random picture as a portrait (you can see it from the in-game shot). Is there any way that I can make reference to the portrait from the model (like what I did with the HEX editor to refer to the body's texture)? I really don't know what to do because since I used the HEX editor to create an 'orginal' model (it's not actually original, but for the sake of not having my character show up everywhere I changed it) I will need to have it make reference to an original portrait somehow. This isn't as important on my computer I guess as if other people begin to use it.
As for the interest in the skins - wow - I'm excited that you guys are even remotely interested <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />
I don't know how to use the lighting within the GM viewer, so they come out really dark, and unfortunately for some reason the screenshot (print screen) came out darker than when I play as well...

and then this one is before I darkened the jacket, and midway through the painting, but this is the skin itself (I dunno, it just felt like the blue was too blue for what I was going for, so I took the TGA and played with the hue/saturation)

As a final note:
I have been working my way through the game, and I have found myself a bit disoriented - so I started to draw a map with all of the islands that I have found so far. While the map is nowhere near complete yet, once I do complete it, and then paint it to make it look all purdy-like, do you think I should post the image?
OH! and when I do make the changes to the character portrait (which I should probably do right now, but I might opt to actually play the game a bit more) I don't know where, or how I would make my skin available to other people....
