Character Realism

Greetings my scurvy friends!

One thing that I came to realize that's missing from PotC is realistic female characters. Yes, there are tons and tons of beauties wandering around all over the place, and now there are cute "pirate" girls as well which adds to the variety. One thing however that has been bothering me, (On account of a realistic environment), is the lack of "non" beautiful female characters. I came to this realization when, after not playing the game for two years, I arrived at the tavern at the Pirate Settlement. The woman barkeep is an elderly woman, NOT yet anouther dashing beauty.

My point is, there are all sorts of the male characters from hansom to old and salty, to dumb looking or sneaky, scraggly, scrawny, fat, etc, etc, etc...

I think there should be this variety for woman also.

Well that's my suggestion for an upgrade to the mod. I'd do it myself but I have no idea how to make characters. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

There's also a distinct lack of animals too. I'll try finish & release that horse I was working on, might have a go at animating it when I have more time.

but i like the idea, althought i dont think the women will like to use ugly female characters ^^ hehehe

I wouldn't mind having them put in if somebody makes them.

Catalina posted up a partially finished mod that was to add parrots to the game. Its incomplete but the source is there for anyone willing to play with it. Don't remember the thread she posted it in though.

Check the Tools, Information and Tutorials thread on the Build Alpha & Brainstorming forum.
There's some information in there on modeling/skinning.
No real thorough guides though. Just post any questions you might have.
