Im having problems with my PC rebooting when selecting a weapon on the deck of a ship, it doesnt always happen but when it does its nasty!

Seems to be ALOT of other people with the same problem

WIN2k + SP 4
AMD 2600XP
ATI 9700 PRO - ATI CATS 4.12
1024 DDR RAM
NFORCE 2 SOUNDSTORM AUDIO

Some people have had a bit of luck uninstalling DX and reinstalling from the CD, DX9 c

My computer was doing that when I tried booting the game until I turned my hardware accel to about half.... now it doesn't reboot bu it won't run, I still have some DX9.0c issues to deal with apparently.

I'm not sure this is an ATI problem all in of itself. I have a athlon ~1.3Ghz with a geforce Ti4200 and it is crashing regularly.

At first it played great, then once I hit a certain fame level, it started crashing like no other, rebooting all the time

At that point I checked off the Automatically reboots option box in the system settings. The next time I tried to play I got a blue screen of death which pointed out that nv4_disp.dll was the culprit. I'm not sure, who's problem it is, but I hope it gets fixed by either nvidia or firaxis.

It's definitely not an Ati issues, why should it?
