Could you show a screenshot of that mixed character?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
here you are <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/type_1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":nk" border="0" alt="type_1.gif" /> . But i need to do a screenshot behind the head <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Just behind the head it's ok.. but here you are the worst view.. Pieter, if you accept the 50FatJackcorsair3 as temporary Davy Jones (or permanent if nobody makes a genuine character) we need someone with good texturing skills like Kazeite (if he accepts) or someone else.

not bad, not bad at all. but the color of the hat hurts me eyes a bit. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> for the rest, he lookes pretty good.

This one even at night, you can see him. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

woooaah! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> what happened there?! did he fall on the paint bucket or something? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> oh: remember that he has a crabs leg! try to adjust the color of the pegleg for that. one thing though: davy jones still looks too human. could you do something about that? in fact, he now looks a bit more like someone with a serious fashion problem. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

That looks pretty good, actually, for a first try. With some good texturing, he'll make an excellent Davy Jones. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

If you could get Petros or Kazeite to work on the textures, he'll be absolutely great! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

precisely. i think this is an excellent base. but can the non-moving tentacles be added?

I've changed the hat's color <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> . But if Petros or Kazeite want to do something better : yes, it would be great <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

What software have you used ? Maya 4.5 ?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
3DMax 8.

And, I wish I could help with the texturing, but, unfortunately, I don't have time for that right now <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

that did the trick! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> amazing what a different hat colour can do. as usual, i know something to improve on it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> : his head looks too big. however, this might be solved by adding the tentacles.

When could you have time for this work Kazeite ? Next Month (March) for instance ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

Unfortunately, to add the tentacles we have to remodel the character. As you know, at the moment nobody can do this. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

but what about, as i already said, using the head from the english officer? the hair has the right shape to make tentacles out of it.

The english officer or the english soldier ? With the english soldier, there is a big hole behind the head when mixed with corsair3 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I just wanted the confirmation. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> If the english officer doesn't cause a graphic bug with corsair3 i'll let a screenshot on this topic. But i can't do this before Saturday.

would it be possible to put two heads on the same body in the same place? then you could put the barbossa head and the english officer head both on him. sometimes, when one of the two heads is smaller, it actually turns out pretty well. (i've seen this happen when two people stood inside each other) however, even if it would work, i think that the hats would come out wrong.

I know we're talking about Jones, but after FINALLY <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> sailing the <i>Dutchman</i>, i got to thinking.

How about an option to make it rain around the <i>Dutchman</i> all the time. Frankly, I don't find her sailing in broad daylight very satisfying <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> . But overcast, her shadow barely visible to her prey, THAT'S SCARY <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> . Note, this would be an option. And I don't want a storm. Just rain.

well, what i always found a good idea is to only be able to meet the dutchman in an un-damaging storm, like the one at the end of the mainquest. but i'm not sure if this and your idea would be possible.
