Differences in the game and the preview?

Hey All,
Thanks for taking the time to read my message.

A few things that were mentioned in the preview, I haven't seen in the game as of yet. Here's a list:

1. Knocking down a ship's riggings with a carefully aimed shot.
2. Sneaking into a town and being able to loot it.
3. Distracting guards by throwing pebbles and making bird noises.
4. Caves of treasure(I wondered if they meant the pirates' treasures).
5. Governors telling you to assassinate someone.

I've done a lot of sneaking around, and have only been able to enter the Governor's mansion and the Tavern. Anybody else able to enter another building, or been able to loot?

I haven't had any GOVERNORS tell me to assassinate anybody either. There daughters' have given me tips on finding criminals, but I haven't been asked to ASSASSINATE anybody.

Nope, no "assasinations". Just maybe an apprehend mission from a daughter now and again.

I've knocked the sails off an enemy ship so many times I can't count. It's my prefered way to get them to strike their colors.

Can't loot when you sneak into a town. And I think the tavern and the Governor's mansion are the only places you get to when sneaking... oh yeah, and jail. Which is why I don't do it very often.

No guard distractions that I have seen.

Buried treasures yes. Caves? No

Yeah, I've knocked their sails down as well.
I guess I was hoping for a lucky shot that
took down one of the masts. That would be

Yeah I've knocked the mast of a sloop a couple of times and brought down sails/rigging. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I have yet to see a demasted ship, and taking out their sails is my favorite way of capturing, too.

I've had him and all 7 others. I've pummeled ships with every shot available, still nothing with no mast...

What is your object detail set at? On my machine, the mast and sail animations only show at the highest detail setting.
