does anyone have a copy of build 10.1?

does anyone here still have a copy od build 10.1 kicking around? I'm trying to locate a change that NK made and I believe it was done in 10.1 but was somehow neglected in future change docs. I only need the change log from that build.

Anyway it's not just important to me, it was actually important from even way back in the day. It's important because I want something closer to authentic sea battle not convienent boarding proximity. I want the thrill of the hunt not just the kill.
Anyway never mind. I went back to the Lib forum and dug up the solution from like 2003. but thanks for your interest. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Naturally the old fix no longer applies so my request still stands.
 
heh. i've had chases lasting half a game day in the newest version. unfortunately, the game crashed after i had captured the ship. i was not pleased. anyway, it was a pretty awesome experience, not a battle of guns, but of seamanship. each of us tried to make use of the wind the best he could.

LOl nothing like A 2 knot wind to really drag it out eh? I had one today where I had to chase a straggler, as soon a I set after him, the weather went to a 2 knot tail wind in the fog. Drove me round the bend! Thank Mod for the R and G keys and exceptional sailing perks. Still took an hour to close 2500 yards. There is no escape without surrender!
 
you know what really terrified me? sailing through the khael roa passage. in the fog. with a GALLEON. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> i did make it, but i had a few very close calls.

one thing related to the directsail mod will always make me laugh: i was sailing to hispaniola from redmond, which took a rediculous amount of time. then i got there. now, this may seem fairly straightforward, but it's not. you see, you may be at the island, but you have no idea where the island actually is. you only know it's somewhere in the same ocean. i guessed i had to go west, but the wind was coming from that direction, so i went north-west. then i had to go north. then north-east. then back to west because i then could. then south-west, and back to north-west again at 15 knots. as you might have guessed, i hadn't the faintest clue where i was. somehow i ended up straight in port after i had just gone west through a thick fogbank. that was a bit of a surprise.

unlucky jack is right, the seabattles are a bit like crap..
that is because of two things(i think).
1. the music. sometimes the music just stops, if a ship sinks or if you or some other ship extinguish a fire.
2. the cannons. they fire all, and than you wont hear any cannons for a long time. so you get those moments of silence in the sea battles, together with stoped music. i personal think that the reload time must be decreased.
 
What game version is that? There's something wrong with the cannon sounds in some of the recent(ish) Alpha's. As for the music, I think there's some reset sound scheme code when a fire is extinguished. Perhaps there's more things like that. I usually just have Windows Media Player playing my own music in the background. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Why.. 'cause my friend isn't good in english, and for build mod 10.1 we have just found czech localization <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" />
