What operating system do you have - Windows 7 - Vista - XP
Do not install the game in the PROGRAM folder - this causes serious problems - intall it in a seperate folder. e.g. GAMES.![]()
Also do you have a Intel video card - this game has serious problems with them - and may not work.

I've never read the installation instructions. There must be something in the Windows folder? Which folder is it?Ah, he works with Win7, so there should be an operating system, possibly powered by some insane CPU. Hey, on a normal set-up a CD/DVD-rom gets onto the D:\\ -thingy. I presume you know a bit about PCs, or a friend does. Before the game installations gets finished it will be checked by a batch program, telling you all's been done according to plan, ignore the silly 'files not found', what you surely have read earlier in the procedure of how-to-do-stuff. Next step we did eg was adjusting the exact monitor-solution in "Engine.ini":
(3. & 4. line)
screen_x = xxx
screen_y = xxx
In all cases do not make the mistake of putting PotC into the C:\\Windows partition respectively drive. So, what next?
Optimus? Not yet installed on. By the way, i've got Directx 11. Oh, and my game isn't original. But it works with build mod 13I looked into your video card and something called Optimus will work with it. What it does is automatically switch between the Intel graphics and the 525m. Do you have Optimus installed?
Also, does stock POTC with no mods run ok?
Here is a thread where others had similar problems. http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php/topic/18371-beta-2-issues/
