Doh.....CTD on "fixing relations"

Greetings

I have buill 11 installed...strange bug here.....I have completed the Edgar Atwood quest by killing all the guards in the jail....I removed him from my active roster. Next Time I went back to Redmond, I was in the tavern and the two British Officers were still there....I chatted with one of them and bought edgar's release, went to the port, had to board and sink the british prison ship. ....which of course made Britian hostile towards me......so...I went to Quebradas Costillas Tavern speak to the gentlemen on the left right inside the door that can fix relations,,,,,,tell him to fix relations with Britian....He charges me upwards of 800,000 gold.....then I click to tell him to do it....and crash to desktop. I saved the game as I was leaving Redmond for Pirate Island....I have reloaded the save several times as well as restarting the actual game.

Anyone else have this problem?

Or maybe know how to fix it?.....Will a simple "I" keypress fix the problem>

Do I need to enable logs and post them here? (Of course, I don't know how to enable logs, but am willing to figure it out to solve this problem.)

Well, Crimson Rhaine, to post an error log or whatever here, you have to go into the "tools" folder in the PotC directory and click on the executable you can find there. There is a known problem with the QC diplomat and fixing your relations with England, but that usually happens after sinking the Black Pearl.

I recommend that you go back to a previous save and instead of going to the diplomat just dock at the secluded bay on Redmond and sneak into the town itself from the jungle.
You can then speak the governor (assuming that you've either completed the main quest or aren't too far advanced in it) and fix the relations that way.
Also NK might be interested in your save to possibly help solve this bug, so keep a copy of the save just in case he asks for it.
