Dueling

As many hundreds of hours I've spent playing COAS I'd never got in a duel before. Didn't even know it was possible. One of the Captains that had signed on with me ended up having lower stats and loyalty than I'd like at one point and when I signed on new blood, I fired him. Jose Dasco was his name. Everytime I would enter the Tavern at Willemstad I thought he might be an officer wanting to sign on and realize it was him. We would exchange insults and threaten to duel, but it never happened until today. The bar cleared out and we fought swords drawn in the tavern. I made quick work of the bildge rat. When I looted his corpse I ended up with nearly seven hundred thousand (700,000) Piasters!!!! :treas A tidy sum for such small work!

Anyone else get in any duels? I love this game. :luv As long as I've played now, there continue to be surprises.

I haven't had a chance to really play the game for a while, but I agree with you, the fine modders at Seaward packed plenty of content in to CoAS and there are all kinds of little things that you notice while playing. It really is a shame that this game doesn't get near the publicity or respect it deserves in the western market.

I was invited to a duel once and had to go just outside the city for the fight; but the other guy remained in the tavern and the fight never happened.
