I've had a look at the trailer and there's one thing I found looking really weird: The sea. I saw no waves anywhere. It's calm as a pool. On the real sea, there would be waves even if there was hardly any wind.

This same can be said for just about all games that have a sea in it. They never seem to get the feel of the real sea in there. It always seems completely calm.

The same occurs in PotC. But I like the fact that in PotC, there are also sometimes waves and storms. But still it could and should be much, much better.
 
Agreed Pieter but even the calm sea seen in the trailer looks very nice mate, mayhaps a "little" too calm but very nice water effect if ya ask me which ye did not hehe...
 
I'm certain we are only seeing the preliminary work so far. Kind of like Pirates of the Burning Sea, some early stuff first; then we get the polished up goodies !

Was a lot of fun. Most of the time it was Foggy (Nova Scotia) but one day the wind kicked up. There were a couple of regular sailboats in company. We set all plain sail. The deck had a 7-10 degree heel and we just walked away from the other boats. Then about an hour later there was heard a load boom and the Main T'gallent tuned into ribbons. Captain Bailey decided we had enough fun for one day and we reduced sail and spent the next couple days sewing the sail back together.

I will try and get some pics, but all the ones I had were taken with an equally ancient medium known as film.
