Need Help Engine.exe error

Hello guys and gal's,

I have a problem with COAS with the GoF mod... After some 5 minutes the game crashes and shows a "ENGINE.EXE error"...

My rig:
Windows 8 PRO x64
Intel I7 Core 920 @ 2.67Ghz
6GB Ram DDR3
1TB HD
Nvidia GTX 650

The game is in the folder C:/Age of Pirates 2, I gave the game full rights, put compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3, updated drivers (Graphics, DirectX, C++ 2010, etc)

I have tried to enable error logging but it somehow doesn't works...

The game ran flawlessly until I started getting class 5 ships and around 300k money, since then I can't play for 5 mins that an Engine.exe errors appears...

Any ideas?

I will try to reinstall the game, apply GoF mod and then ENB, I read that ENB after the MoD install is less likely to give errors...
I'll load the save and see if it still gives errors...

Well, how about make a virtual pc with windows Xp inside w8, more to install but maybie runs better ?

I actually thought about that... I'll check up on it when I have the time.
Also, I ran a windows error report on the game and it is incompatible with Windows 8. That might be the cause...
