Everytime i board a ship, i can't get of the ship again :S

Hello. When i board a ship, and kill the captain and such, i can't get off the ship again. It must be a game-bug. There is an open locker in the top of the window, but when i press Enter i can't do anything. There is no places to fast-travel either. It doesn't matter if i stand on the enemies boat or my own boat. What should i do?

Oh, and where is the Pirate's Hideout? I'm doing the quest where i have to find some dude at the pirates hideout, the quest you get after going out of jail.
 
that really should be noted somewhere somehow. a lot of new players got stuck because of that. not me, because i first try the most important keys, but a lot of other players have.

oh: the MAIN piratehideout is quebradas costillas. there are others on tortuga, douwesen (which is also important in the main quest. i'm not sure, but i think that you need that one. land at the beach closest to the city, and turn right at the fork in the road. otherwise, start at the city and keep walking straight ahead) and turk island.

"Quest 6 Find the betrayed Captain Rehims and bring him back

The Governor orders you this time to find a man named Rehims who betrayed
English in order French to achieve the invasion. He was last heard at the
Pirate's hideout. Go to there and dock at the port. At the first time you go
into the pirates' hideout, you will see two man fighting swords. You can just
let the man kill or save the man. If you save the man, the navigator will join
your crew. If you let him executed, the captain will join your crew. This is
another quest and you can see this crew member only when you enter pirate's
hideout."
but the description is so vague. How do I complete the quest? What island should I go to? What should I do? Please help me.
 
Quebradas Costillas. doesn't have a fort, so don't worry. oh: if you save the guy, you get the easier, but less fun of the two quests.

Thanks. I didn't save the guy, so I got Nigel Blythe. Don't know what to do with him <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> I tried sailing to Conceico, and enter the town, but he is still mute. What should I do with him? The Walkthrough doesn't say that either. Thanks.

I was also wondering about Build 14 Alpha. Is it stable to use? Because it sure got some neat features. And do I have to start a new game, when I install it or can I load my current? Got any comments on it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Or would it be best if I started a new game, if I install that mod?
 
I left him in a ship I have in storage . he gets on my nerves.

you could try. but DON'T enter your captains cabin as it causes almost all the chests to be permanently empty. the tutorial and boarding are exceptions to this. you should also not sink the black manowar before you finish the main quest because it causes a game-killing bug. those are the only two things that you need to whatch out for.

what i always do is just wait until artois tells me the secret and then fire and kill him. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
