fencing to easy?

I think the blocking function is to good: even with a very bad blade you can survive (and kill almost everything).
This makes the finer swords rather pointless.

I´ve tried to lower the block value. No effect.
Even the cutlass (block = 0) blocks everything. Strange.

Then I tried to // the block line. No effect.

Last I deleted the block button in change current settings. That works, but I´m interested in decreasing the parameter, not losing it.

Any suggestions?

What difficulty are you playing at? With the Bosun's Choice (which I think might be the best sword in the game) and a melee skill of 5 I still die quite a bit. And yes, I am timing blocks and attacks.

As I remember, the bandits in towns are supposed to be easier. Pirates and marines are very hard, and soldiers sit somewhere in the middle (I think).

Maybe something wrong with my game. At swashbuckler level no problems blocking anything. Not so exciting.

Well, what level melee do you use? If its too easy, don't put it up so high.

Melee skill = 3. The block is frozen to 100 % all blades and it seems true, the enemies hits never comes through my blocking sword.
