Oh my .... the ships are absolutely gorgeous....*drool*


Kinda odd that they don´t have crew number information on the ship charts, though, given that EIC is going to be a trading sim (and crew cost money, right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ).

Btw, do we know anything about the "cutthroat" game shown on the nitro site? Never heard of it....

They do have numbers, in one of the screenshots they have the standard crew/sails/hull/speed as an actual number I think we'll just have to wait until the game comes out for specifics.

Funny thing, I emailed Nitro a while ago about a few things and I got onto their CEO, Jussi, he said he can't talk at all about Cutthroats at this time so sorry no news there. (strangely after I asked him about lighthouse having dodgy financials non of them talk to me anymore )

Yeah seen all the ones they have done, and the east indiaman they have a screenshot on their nitro website.

You know I have not followed a game like this for a while now it's got me pretty excited about the possibilities and scope of it. If they do it well it could be a massive game. Or at least have the framework there for others to modify cause it's a damm pretty game.

Same here, I loved to play The Patrician/Port Royale (II) and this seems to be even better. Is there any info how moddable EIC is going to be?

Nah, none at the moment, we did a Q&A yonks ago about it but even then there was nothing.

I think they are using their own engine so i cannot get any information that way either, saying that I think I'll double check <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

You may want to check the EIC game site. I think you have the cutter attributes somewhat off. Also there is info there about the Brig and Flute.

I too am one of those people with their positive attitude hats on with regard to the upcoming release of EIC and the health of its publisher. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

Yeah I see your quite active on the official forum. I wish I could get more out fo them regarding a release date though, the whole Q1 thing is annoying <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I have been watching that game ever since I first say it mentioned on this site. Good Job. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> I have been trying to bang the drum for them. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> E:TW just doesn't put the lead in my pencil. I would like to see EIC have some small land battle capabilities with regard to ports and harbors but it is more of a pipe dream. I am just finishing up the Alexander Kent / Bolitho series.

I have seen a release date of Feb 27 on a couple different sites but nothing confirmed.
