fixed my problem

i installed Pirates and when i try to open it the windows error comes up saying it has encountered a problem. I think it has something to do with my directx 9.0c since when I try to install it directx still says 9.0b. Any know how to uninstall directx or I heard ther is an altered dx9.0c so can anybody point me to that?

What does <b>"Dxdiag"</b>say about your directx. One safe way of doing this, is to do a system restore. Restore to a point in time, when you did not have the current version installed. In some few cases (recently with DirectX 9.0b) it has been necessary to uninstall the old direct x as the installation of DirectX 9.0c was somehow being prevented.

it says 9.0b but the version umber beside it says 0904. I read some peolpe having the same problem in Sims 2

my specs are radeon 9600 pro
athlon xp 2500
512 ram
