Game crashes after start

Hi!

I have installed the Build 13 Final as described. However, after I select a character (no matter which one) and press start, it loads and crashes.

System.log gives me:
Techniques: compiled by 61592990 ticks.
BeginScene
The method call is invalid For example, a method's parameter may have an invalid value


Any ideas?
It is an exact copy of the installed Game of my brother where it does work and I can also load games and play them. So something seems to be wrong with the start-up....

Does the game work properly before installing Build 13? If so, <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?showtopic=9234" target="_blank">enable error logging</a> and tell me what's in system.log, compile.log and the possible error.log

Yep same problem with or without mod installed on a vista machine reinstalled ect...I have it in windowed mode 1280x768 and all permissions are good

Does it do this on a non-Vista computer as well? What do these error logs say as suggested in my <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?s=&showtopic=11747&view=findpost&p=247409" target="_blank">previous post</a>? Sometimes when you get that error, it means your MODULES folder is corrupted. But that means your CD is somehow wrong. Only Build 13 should fix that because the correct MODULES folder is included. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

yes it works on my NON vista machine on i enabled the error logging but I don't see the log in the directory?

No log at all? Now that is REALLY weird. have you tried moving your game folder out of the Program Files directory yet? I have it in C:\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean and that works fine for me on Vista.
