This ain't a complaint, but I'm curious to find out how y'all think about this anyway. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

I played the original Pirates! on several systems, Pirates! Gold and now the most recent incarnation. Am I the only one who feels that except for the original game the Pirates! series is just too easy? 15 years ago playing on swashbuckler you really had to know what you were doing. To the extent that I never finished a game on that level. With PG playing on swashbuckler was the only option for me, else it would've just become boring much too fast.
Now with SMP I've smoothly advanced to rogue in my first game without encountering any problems so far. Started the second game on the same level, now without fencing skill, still the fencing seems to be extremely easy and I think I'll have to advance to swashbuckler next time I divide up the plunder. I'm curioius to see if then the game will feel "right" or if the difficulty goes up frustratingly steep.
Any thoughts on this?
