Gibbs gave me Jacks compass..

so i am playing the standard questline... so i meet gibbs in the tortuga tavern and he gave me the compass..

is this of any use to me? or is it and old test thingy? it looks very nice! who made it?

it is a quest item.. so i cant sell it for rum money! oh another question can i sail the dinghy alone? jack sparrow style! i got his compass so i need to look stylish! oh and another last question..

hehe when can i buy pirate ships? i am -30 with the pirates.. but they still wont let me buy their ships!

Once you've got the compass, you will be able to visit Isla de Muerte. There's nothing to do there, but you can have a look around.

You should be able to buy Jack's dinghy from the shipyards.

You need to actually join the pirates to let them have you buy their ships. Do this by talking to the Nevis pirate leader.
You need to be already famous for this though.
