Long time lurker first time poster!
I have submitted a cleaned up version of the "aop map by fop.jpg" that doesn't have the mouse cursors and player location on it as a introduction gift. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

My specialty is 3D graphics but I dabble a little bit in the 2 dimensional occasionally. Now some questions. I've played POTC a bit and found Age of Pirates to be exactly what I was looking for. A few things are irritating me about this game that I would like some help with though.
First off... my crew can't hit the broad side of a barn with a bucket of paint from a foot away even when I aim for them. If they miss in the first shot (which they do) they blow up half my cannons making it even MORE difficult to hit said barn with said bucket of paint. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Ship battles work like this for me: Board them or I get sunk... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

That brings up another question... melee combat. Dispatching the crew is no problem but holy crap if I let a single hit through from the captian I'm next to dead. A "WTF" is in order. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />
Lastly... if I do let the crew aim for themselves is it possible to select a specific target when there are more than one enemies or do they just spray and pray?
Hopefully the patch will balance some of these things out but I wonder... how did it make it all the way to 1.4 in this state? I love the game don't get me wrong it's quickly become one of my favorites.
By the way, does anyone know why the resolution looks so low while post processing is on even though it is actually running at 1280x1024 via a tweaked config? It is really 1280x1024 (I checked) and even the text looks nice, small and sharp but the 3D rendering is very pixelated. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
