Got a couple of questions..

I can't for the life of me figure out how to drink other potions than the standard healing one, can anyone give me a hint?


Also, how do I collect the ransom for captured pirate captains?

Well when you are hurt or poisoned. You press enter. You should see a use potion option. Select that and then select the potion.

The fast way just uses the first healing aid thats there as far as i know.

As for ransome. You have to talk to them, go to an island (depending on the prisoners nationality) find someone who wants to pay for them and then exchange. Allso you have to be at a certain notority level and some other random stuff like that.

I have yet to ransome a prisoner using the new method. But you can dissable this mothod in the advanced options. Then you simply ransome them from the passangers menu ^^

The C-key will also use a potion. Depending on the setting of USEMAXPOTION_ONKEYPRESS in PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h, that button will use either the biggest or smallest potion you've got available.

I'm using build 13, haven't played the game for a long time, decided to dust it off and see what you guys have come up with in the meantime, and I must say it's pretty impressive! Build 12 made the game playable but build 13 really turned it into a good game.
