Graphics problem

OK, when I depart from the port and go into the sailing mode I see white lines all over the screen. Previously, I had modified (just those options with numbers) BuildSettings.h to my liking and I was going to start all over again (some old settings annoyed me); but first I loaded a save and I encountered this problem. After that, I started a new game and it was all the same. Any idea why do these lines appear and what is the cause?

1) Press F8: Screenshot is saved as .tga in your main PotC folder
2) Press PrntScrn, open Paint, paste and save as JPG

Pieter, I want to apologize for not posting here for a period of time. I forgot to tell you that the problem is gone! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> I just started the game again and sailed from a port and it was all as good as before. It was somehow "fixed" when both loading a game and starting a new one. If I find more of these problems or any other bugs and stuff, I'll take a few shots so that I can attach them if needed.

Sorry again for this mess.

No problem. Glad the issue sorted itself out. One more thing I won't have to fix. I love those things! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

It seems that it was connected to the part of BuildSettings.h where you can change the effects of explosions (from 0 to 3). I've reset it and it was OK. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Do you mean the SHIPHIT_PARTICLES setting? If that is the case, you can probably cause the bug again, right? I would still like to see a screenshot. Perhaps there's an error with one of the settings... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I will certainly try do invoke it again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
