OK, I've dealt with it for a while, but now I'm fed up and need a change. I play Build 14a6 with the update just so you guys know.


I noticed it right off the bat when I boarded my first ship. My guns are never loaded. I have the "No reload with sword drawn" option on sobasically, I've got these great guns and no way to use them. I'm not gonna sheathe my sword and dodge enemies for two minutes while my guns reload. It's the same in town. On the pier, I wait for my guns to reload, then fast travel to the store, and it has to reload, as if I'd fired just outside the door. It's annoying. Anyone know how to change this? I'm pretty sure that unless he just fired it, a captains gun would be loaded and ready to go. I've not been able to use myguns and it sucks because they're very nice. with me (in build 14a5) , that always happens with the less conventional firearms, like grenades, throwing knives, etherbottles, etc. but never with the other ones. seems to me like the check is in your case applied to every ranged weapon.
 
i think it could. if it was that way, it should be able to turn it back again. what i think, is that it has something to do with the fix for your gun being suddenly reloaded when you enter the next screen.
 
So does anyone know HOW to change this? It seems simple, but what do I know <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Do you have the ammomod on or off? I heard reports that your gun is unloaded upon every location load with the mod off, so try to turn it ON. I also noticed this issue with non-qualitized weapons such as grenades. Not sure why it happens.
 
i've also experienced ctd's when the enemy would fire a blunderbuss. pretty annoying. the strange thing is, it suddenly started happening while the problem had never been there before.
 
I have the ammomod off. I'll turn it on and see what happens. I haven'tplayed in a while (Age of Empires 3 and God of War 2 have been taking all of my gaming time. Time to set sail once more...ARGHHHH!)
