Hello to everyone at Pirates Ahoy!
I have been following the Build mod for several years, and I really admire the work everyone has put into it! It takes special talent to take an unfinished, feature-light product and transform it into one of the best seafaring experiences available in a game. I might be a bit late to come on and say it, but great work!
I am also excited about the New Horizons Remastered project announced this summer. Hopefully this will clear a lot of the issues that have surfaced in the old engine, and will result in an even better game. I look forward to what's next.
A bit about myself- I am currently studying to get a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, hopefully graduating this coming May. I am interested in a wide variety of historical topics; certainly not least is the age of sail. I live in the US, in the (unfortunately landlocked) state of Idaho. I have practically no seafaring experience myself, but I am fascinated by the topic, and am always keen to learn more.
I would like to learn more about various aspects of game development and modding, and observing the talent here has enlightened me a lot already. I may be limited by my lack of skills and dubious availability due to my studies, but I am interested in helping out the modding community in any way I can.
I am glad to finally greet the community, and I will continue admiring your inspirational work.
