Help. Can not save any games.

I'm a newbie. Any help you can give would be appreciated. I am not able to save any games - control/s gives me the error: ERROR saving game. Can't seem to save any via the Load/Save screen either.. argh!

what am I doing wrong? i have a new install on Win98, unfortunately done to the root of D... I've dug thru the manual, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> , with no luck...

The quick load/save function is not advisable.
Do you have enougth space on that drive left?
