Is there armour in build 12 ?

When i capture a fort it sais : colony captured but if i go in the town there are still enemy soldiers .

Basic rule for armor at the tailor shops, if you can SEE the armor (breastplates, helmets) it will BE armor when you are wearing it and will affect your HP. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

SFAIK armor doesn't affect HP, just has a chance of stopping cuts and bullets.
Dunno about the soldiers. Was it at night that you captured the town? Were there normal NPCs around or just soldiers?
