HOw do I build settlements?

Can you elaborate on that problem for a bit? What happens when you try to talk to the keep character? You get a screen with "Can't load dialog" or something like that? I cant get dialog from the keep or the walls and cannon bastion(3 cannons forgot name). I try spacebar and enter>talk and I cant talk to the people in these buildings.

All of the other buildings are working fine in the game. The cannon bastion(name?) still shoots when enemies attack but it can only be demolished by hostile forces.

I was playing a land only game, trying to colonize Dowensen, and I wanted to move a cannon bastion(?) closer to where the enemy spawns on the beach, but it couldnt be demolished because of no dialog box. I gave up my land game because hostile npcs would spawn randomly when I entered my inland settlements. When my flashing red icon went off the npcs would attack and destroy my buildings before I could kill them. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />

So far in the games I've played using the building set with build 13, update 2 <b>only the shores are safe</b> to build on. Is there a way to cancel hostile npcs from spawning at a location when you place buildings there?

Today I was using the Crew Members on Shore Mod with the building set but I was becoming frustrated because Merchants and Shipwrights, whose nations I had LOM's with, wouldn't buy my goods or repair my ships a regular basis. Once in a while they would, but their behaivor with the Crew Members on Shore Mod is sparadic. I thought that these 2 mods would work well together but they dont. They are both working good seperatly though---but,..the crewmembers on shore mod, and the merchants, and shipwrights reaction to the player should be looked at because I cant spend the whole game on land, and I eventually want to capture ships and sell their cargoes.

The one way that these two mods might work good together is if the shipyards you build with the building set would buy your captured ships. I am pretty far into a game right now that is using both mods. I'll do some more testing and see if I can find a way for both mods to work together. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />
