how to hack myself a manowar?

hey there,

A year ago ago i bought Pirates of the Caribbean.
I heard it was a good game and i trusted bethesda (huge fan of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, played it for 3 years and still playing it, can't wait untill Oblivion is released).
BUT: the game was fun in the beginning but the bugs and certain elements of the game irritated me and quite fast i stopped.

Now, a year later i started playing again and i try to look through all the bugs.
Only one thing still bothers me. At the final quest you have to fight a Manowar ship. Its pretty cool and i wanted to have it. So I tried to enter it, only when you try that you sink misteriously when you come too close, sux. I thought, well i'll buy one, doesn't work eiter. No one sells the ship.

I tried to hack the "characters_init.c" file in the
"/pirates of the caribbean/program/characters/" folder. i modified it, but, it doesn't work,

So, i still want to sail a manowar, can anyone help me please?

if you look at the top of the POTC section of the forum you should see a download for the post build 12 mod project. in it you'll not only find man'o'wars but many other new ships and fun thing to do with the game. i suggest giing it a try for that man'o'war goodness you seek

Yeah, I'll second Captain Spectre, give the Build 12 Mod a go, it's definitely worth it. You can indeed buy MoWs from shipyards as well as many other fine new ship types. There are even more ship types in the Post Build 12 Modpack Update, however this still has a number of serious bugs which have yet to be ironed out, so you may want to wait for that. Anyway go the Build 12, as it's relatively bug free.
