I Cant Board Ships!!!!

Hey can some1 help me here? I installed build 11 and now i cant board ships properley. All dat happens is dat it goes straight to a screen sayin captain surrendered kill or capture? Sure, just turn up the difficulty. What's happening is that the enemy crew is feeling overwhelmed, and is offering up the ship's captain in surrender. It usually happens when your crew and crew's morale are much higher than the enemy's. As far as I know, turning up the difficulty should decrease the likelihood of that happening (as well as making the rest of the game tougher). If you want to do that, just talk to a hired officer, select "About me..." and then select the option that's something like, "I'm just not right in this world." That will give you the option of difficulty levels. Apprentice is the default/easiest level, while Swashbuckler is the hardest.

An easier way to change the difficulty is to press F1, options, and on the bottom is difficulty level.

If you unloaded a few broadsides of grape shot before boarding that could make them surrender... either that or the enemy captain thinks he has no chance of survival... like if you were boarding a barque with your frigate. A lot of times in the build if you board a merchant, he'll either surrender or fight you... bur rarely do they ever keep fighting past the weather deck.

Privateers and Navy vessels are a different story... they fight it out long. You'll have to really knock down their morale with grape, or carry away a mast to get their morale to budge.
