I cant save my game

wonder if anyone has a problem saving the game. i tried and it would say ERROR cant save game when i exit the save game screen.

I have it also. Two month old `high-end` Vaio.

The savegames are stored in <i>My DocumentsMy GamesSid Meier's Pirates!.</i> Check if you have enough disk space in the corresponding drive. This is a bit unusual, but check if <i>My Documents</i> or <i>My Games</i> have the "Read Only" option unchecked, as it should be.

If those tips don't work, you may as well try to reinstall the game.

Hi, Thanks for the tips. I do have a question though. For some reason my MyGames file always defaults back to "read only" even after I uncheck that box, and hit "Apply". Any ideas? Do I need to recreate the folder?

No my game does not even autosave. I can't load them either, as there is nothing to load.
