Nice report, but a "No Sh!t Sherlock". The only key reponse is government reform, but if the government is awry then nothing will get fixed.

I think Indoensia is the real culprit here, they have not taken democracy very well, ( a bit like Iraq ) wether you agree or not, some countrys only respond to a iron fist rule if you give them to much freedom it all goes up the river.. Thats pretty much what happened when suharto was in charge everything was stable there. Even the people agree with that as the person liikely to get in is another `ex-general`. Malaysia has only had 1 realllly embarrasing even involving arms..

About `2-3` years ago a group or the islamic bobo's decided to get some guns and they figured if they dress up in an army uniform no one would stop them.....they were right stold a bucket load of M16's ammo and other things like grenades and so on. was big news here but its just typical of the lack of care they have.

Alot has to change to get everything back on track in SE Asia, not just with piracy but all other crime aswell as its getting worse actually i cant let my mrs go out alone to busy places now i keep thinking about what might happen
